Hi there, I am Debjani and Welcome to my blog. 

 

Born and bought up in a small village in Tripura, India, I love being surrounded by nature and people. I was a pampered single child born to two generous human beings, so I believe in giving and sharing. My schooling was from a co-ed Convent Missionary so, I don't judge people on basis of their caste, creed and religion. I am a Gold Medalist in B.Tech Civil Engineering from  N.I.T Agartala. Presently, I am working in a reputed organisation (Public Sector Undertaking) as a Structural Design Consultant. I am a trained singer in Indian Classical Music and Rabindra Sangeet. Besides this, I had always been interested in trying my hand in paintings, sketching, calligraphy and crafting. Creating new things gives me pleasure and de-stresses my mind and soul. I take out time to cook new recipes and travel new places to gain contentment. Married to the love of my life and being mother to wonderful toddler twins, I feel at the top of the world. My husband has inspired me the most and encouraged me for everything I do. Being a Mother, taught me what life is all about and finally made me accept myself the way I am. 

Blogging is new for me and it started all of a sudden while I was recovering from post-partum blues. This newborn blog also requires immense care and nurturing just like my one and half year old babies. I do not like to take shortcuts and so, I try my best to present before you my thoughts and ideas with the intent of adding joy and smiles to your lives. This is just the beginning of my new journey.

In a Day, A Year Older :)

Hello Everyone! On the eve of my Birthday, as I look back on the last decade of my life, I was over-whelmed by the memories and experiences I had accumulated. The mindset and the growth I have achieved is HUGE. 10 years back, when I was a wrapped in a cocoon , without much idea of  responsibilities and realities of the REAL Life, I was still nagging about small things. But then radical changes took place when I left my parents house to set my career in a new city all alone. From a pampered single child to a working mother of two, life has changed a lot and sure for better. 2018 and Its still Happening

Yet again, the wedding of a girl is prioritized over her dreams and career. Yes, I have intentionally mentioned "Wedding" as the people who persuade  you actually have nothing to do with your "Marriage". People are only bothered to get you wed to an average looking, so called educated, highly paid  man without ensuring his mental and emotional compatibility with the girl. The pathetic scenario in the family for girls have not changed from the days of our grandparents. The condition worsens if the girl is not financially independent and is staying in and around her family and relatives. Relatives and extended relatives add more drama and chaos to the situation and create an environment of negativity and guilt to manipulate the girl for a "YES".
