From Infants to Toddlers... A & A Turn TWO

This post is a letter written on the eve of my kids second birthday.

Hello Our Lifelines,
As you both complete 730 days of life, we also turn two as parents. And this is just the beginning.
It was an amazing journey. We both want to appreciate you both for few things.

Here it goes...
Thanks for being so tolerant to our impatiences.
Thanks for being so entertaining that all our worries flew away.
Thanks for being so understanding when we could leave for work everyday.
Thanks for being so adorable when any guest wanted to cuddle and kiss.
Thanks for being so adjusting when we experimented new recipes.
Thanks for being so supportive whenever we had change of babysitters.
And at last, Thanks for choosing us to be your parents.

It was difficult for us to understand what to do and what not to do after we had you both in your lives. We had taken advises, read books and articles, googled every tiny detail but still every time new things popped up and we both were confused and looked at each other. We tried our best to make you both comfortable and happy. Everyday we learnt something new with you both. We have grown, learnt and understood what it takes to be giving without any expectation. We may have problems and stress but when we met u ,we always wore that big smile on our face.

Nobody taught us what is takes to be a Mom or Dad. Nobody warned us about the immense change of lifestyle and living we would be having once you angels arrive. Nobody told us that parenthood requires to be active round the clock despite of health issues. But you guys will be glad to know your parents managed with support from your family and friends.

Some days Mumma would freak out but then Papa had to calm done and take care. Somedays Papa would be sick and away on official tours then Mumma would entertain like Papa. We may not have any vacation during the first year but we had memories that will never fade till our last breath. We may not have dined out in fancy restaurants for a while but we had a contented heart when you both completed the supper. We may not have watched movies for months but we had recorded and watched your games and naughtiness. It took me a while to understand how you grow as a person when you are a Mother but when I knew it I felt more beautiful and blessed than ever.

Here is to the most special day in our life for the coming years in our life. We will surely have quality time and bonding and celebrations and build good memories this day. Like last year, this year too we will plant trees and spend some time with underprivileged children and celebrate.

MOM & DAD XOXO
